Maria Montessori said “adults admire their environment; they can remember it and think about it – but a child absorbs it. The things he sees are not just remembered; they form part of his soul. He incarnates in himself all in the world about him that his eyes see and his ears hear”.

Our Curriculum
We believe in a child-centred approach to our curriculum. We work diligently to create highly engaging, enabling environments. We are passionate to ensure that our nursery is a wonderous place for our children to experience awe and beauty through nature and authentic opportunities.
We are a nursery without 'toys', meaning we use authentic real items, loose parts and nature through the seasons.
We view young children as curious individuals who have an innate powerful ability to see the potential world which surrounds them.
Our Approach
The approaches and experiences we offer to enhance children's early learning and education include:
Montessori
In The Moment Planning & Enquiry Based Learning
The Curiosity Approach - which includes a sprinkle of many ethos' including
Reggio Emilia/
Te Whariki/Waldorf/Steiner
Early Years Foundation Stage
Forest School
Yoga Classes
The wider the range of possibilities we offer children, the more intense will be their motivations and the richer their experiences.

Young Haymakers Nursery is registered with Ofsted and we are very proud to inform you that
following our last inspection in June 2022 we achieved 'Outstanding in all areas' again in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

We plan a curriculum that provides experiences and opportunities for children to develop and progress from their own child initiated play which we call 'Enquiry Based Learning' then following our lines of inquiries, our educators (teachers) deliver, provide, extend and resource high quality opportunities for the children. This enables our children to achieve their full potential in learning and development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

We seek to build a strong nurturing relationship with every child in our setting and to achieve the 'best outcome' for every child and family; it is paramount that we develop a mutual, respectful relationship with the child and their parents/main carers. Our aim is for parents to have confidence to leave their most precious child with us and we truly appreciate the trust they place upon us

;To ensure we achieve this we have a highly qualified staff team which include
two Early Years Teachers
three Montessori Directresses
five NVQ Level 3 Teachers
three Forest School Leaders
