The philosophy of Forest School is to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through positive outdoor experiences. Forest School, apart from being out in the open, is based on a concept developed in Scandinavia. By participating in engaging, motivating and achievable 'hands on' tasks which are open ended ensures each participant has the opportunity to develop intrinsic motivation and gain sound emotional and social skills.
Forest School sessions
At Young Haymakers we currently offer Forest School sessions daily across the week.
Either spending a whole morning or afternoon in our woodland setting.
The sessions are for children from 2 years of age.
Forest School provides the children with wonderful opportunities to examine, investigate and explore nature at their fingertips. Our rural setting allows for many unique opportunities for children to access either our Forest School area located on site, or a further walk across the fields into our larger woodland site. Both offering amazing holistic learning opportunities for all children.

We have many Forest School trained educators and several Forest School leaders to ensure unique adventures; facilitating opportunities that are suitable for those aged 2 to 5 years of age and inspiring awe and wonder in the nature.
